Environmental Documentation Addendum

WSDOT is considering modifying the final westbound Tacoma Narrows Bridge roadway configuration to provide four westbound lanes instead of the current three-lane design. As part of the evaluation process, WSDOT completed a State Environmental Protection Act (SEPA) Addendum to the project's Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS). The addendum includes keeping the deck grates on the existing Tacoma Narrows Bridge and making four westbound lanes on the bridge with one lane as an add/drop lane ending at 24th Street. Modifying the design will benefit drivers with an additional lane across the bridge and an add/drop lane at 24th Street just west of the bridge - the new design will also significantly cut down on westbound bridge closures and driver inconvenience.

Please visit the following links for a detailed addendum description.
