Cable Spinning
Crews began constructing the catwalks this week on the Gig Harbor side. The 2-mile
long, 12-foot wide walkways will be draped across the passage and resemble rustic
- yet, highly durable - footbridges. When the platforms are complete there will
be a total of six catwalks and nine "crosswalks," the later of which
connects the south-side catwalks with the north-side walkways. (Posted 08/13/05)
